    Default PITA project

I am building 8 pkm's for a customer, these things are extremly time consuming and a real pita to do. Todays project was to cut out the keyhole slot s in the butt plates for the recoil spring retainer. I made a fixture from some scrap lexan I had and am cutting them out in the cnc engraver. it is a slow process, but since it does it all by it's self I can be working on another part of the build while it is working.

I will really be glad to see these things finished and shipped!!

So not a fun build? Sounds like these are pretty nice guns. Are they going to be FA or SA builds?

These are semis, as my friend is having his Russian kit built by you, so his kit is on your table somewhere.

took 4 of them to the range today for a good flogging, all passed the pirate test, that's 5 down 3 to go. I am going to tear them down tomorrow do the engraving on the receivers, rivet on the trigger guards and send them out to be painted. I can't wait to see the end of these things!

    Pirate,
Love the rpd you built for me a while back. There's a Hungarian pkm and vltor receiver on the boards for $4000 without semi parts. What would it cost to finish off?

I have an agreement with marco mar that I will not do any pkm builds unless they go through him. at the moment there are no semi parts available, I used up his inventory doing these 8 guns. so unlesss he wants to get parts made it is the end of semi builds. personally this project was a nightmare for me and I really am not looking to do any more of these.

Pirate, I'd like to know why you think this build a PITA. I've got one of the APEX PKT kits with the de-milled receiver, so I have a personal interest in this. I hope I didn't just blow $599.
