I never understood how "FN" Can't sell outside the military yet I've seen new barrels for sell over the past several years. Someone stated that the first couple batches the roll mark was stamped very light so they were probably "re-ject" barrels and able to sell them.
But as I said, the new one's aren't stamped so they get away w/ it?
Good for you Mr. Meeoff.

yea FN is making barrels for several outfits now. the un-marked barrels are probably wilsons.
from what i can find out ONLY the hammer forged barrels are actually FN made.
i certainly would buy either in a heartbeat.
the 16" carbine barrels are strictly for the consumer market. i have never seen or heard of a 16" carbine ever being made for the DOD.
i certainly doubt FN would let reject barrels out on the market. if a few shot really bad it would ruin their image --cost them millions.
