State police unveil 'field guide' on N.Y. SAFE Act for troopers
A field guide for troopers released last month by the New York State Police answers looming questions about the NY SAFE Act.The 20 page document sheds light, for instance, on how police should enforce the rule that reduces the number of bullets allowed in a magazine from 10 to seven in most cases. It says troopers must have probable cause to suspect criminal activity before checking whether a magazine contains more than the legal number of rounds.
I've got 1 bud left in the NY State Police and he told me he thought these new laws are going to be a nightmare and that he is real glad he'll be retiring Jan 1st so he won't have to contend with it.
He's also moving to Vt when he does retire, and he already has his retirement home all set to go and has had it for 3-4 years now.
Whats that tell ya?
