I really like the look of that. I would think taking the front off of a Jack Squats AR receiver would be easy enough and weld right on.

yes a cut down ar-15 80% will work, there is old post here on how its done, thought it was coils or muttman not sure but it was done before

here is a pic of the Renegade adapter. with this or any adapter using ar mags, the standard /run of the mill 74 trunnion needs to be milled out ( dremel) unless you are using a 47 trunnion. its the ar mags not the adapter

not a good pic sorry, but a representative of my post and one I actually opened up with a dremel (the shiny areas )

    Wieger mag
the front lug area across the face is approx .837

USGI 30 mag across the front of the mag is .885

ak-47 mag across the front is .843

ak-74 EG mag mic'd at .741 across the face of the mag

so to fit a USGI mag into a 74 trunnion one would have to open up the interior above the holes for the rear rivets and under the bullet guide by at least .140-.150

    Damn.
I was hoping to be able to use ar mags and my Bulgarian 556 mags . Like being able to swap the adapted in and out . I got a ar drum.

Is there a list of compatible mags?
Like what else works with Bulgarian mags type of deal.

Apex has Galil mags at a reasonable price again. The front lug may need to be modified to run in a conventional AKM, but as far as I'm concerned the Galil mags are the gold standard for .223 AKs. There were probably far more Galils and mags made than all the ex-Combloc .223 AKs combined.
