Default Best source for different style springs

I've got a .30 cal project gun I'm working on that is going to require a modified recoil system. My goal is to utilize cheap parts from readily available firearms. Does anyone know of something like a recoil spring database with dimensions, spring constants, forces, etc? I know roughly the diameter and length I need just not sure where to obtain other than start trial and error approach.

i had trouble finding good place for springs myself.
ended up making a spring winding jig out of a 2x6, cordless drill, metal rod and some other random parts. look it up it's what a lot of people do.

unless you need some long small diameter springs then i'm afraid this setup won't work.

We have a Fastenal Store in my area that may carry the spring you need.

I get some springs from McMaster-Carr as well. They have a great website that you can filter for exactly what you need.
    Enforcement, NOT Amnesty!!!!!!

"If they’re going to come here illegally, apply for & receive assistance through a corrupted Government agency encouraging this lawless behavior, work under the table & send billions of dollars each year back to their families in Mexico, while bleeding local economies dry, protest in our streets waving their Mexican flags DEMANDING rights, while I have to press ’1′ for English, then they need to be shipped back to where they came from!" -Chad Miller
