if they dont have weapons... wasted trip. country people all have weapons. even the God fearing ones.
We have a plan, my neighbors and I. There is only one road in to our community, and plenty of land for hunting, fishing and crops. If you want in, you work for us. We already have picked out the places to post rotating guards. This may sound like a bunch of kooks that just happen to live close to each other, but these folks around me are from all walks of life, most races are represented, all ages. We just have a tight knit community and we look out for each other.

Plan used to be to drop trees across the quarter mile long driveway. It's a steep slope. A pond is in the holler and springs abound. Things change as you age and you should know how to change with the times. Such is life.

    hee hee...

while my house is on full genny back up & a "bottle" will run me for about 60 days.... im just getting ready to supplement with some windmill/solar stuff in the next couple years..

good news is i have great well water.. ice cold, very clean & since im UP on top the hill... dont think im gonna have much contamination go run downhill.

then again one doesnt know if they will be alive to even worry about it, imagine the cattle farm next to me might be a pretty popular place for hunters. :-(

Windmill in the planning stages. Up here it doesn't have to be that tall either.living in the sweet Virginia breeze.
    Old song.
Thinking about it the pickup couldn't haul all the stuff.
So I'll just go ahead with plan A. Dropped trees on the driveway and tell the kids to get here.
Not many flatlanders want to climb the steep slopes to get here anyway.
