I wish it was a melonite barrel. This sounds like a great deal. My best deal on a Anderson BCG was $59.99.

Mine came in today. This is my third order from PA in less than 20 days. Fast service and parts are shipped well wrapped and protected. I'm still looking for that 12.5" barrel for my pistol build.

How in the hell did you arrive at a 12.5" barrel length?
    10.5 and 11.5 lengths abound.
You do know how over gassed these systems are, correct?
And yes I have a pistol AR myself.
As a toy. I realize what is happening to the system being beat up.
    Are you buying ammo?
    Shooting these toys?
    I wish you well rails.
Ammo, mags and range time are the important part.

I don't think it would be over gassed with a carbine length gas system. I was just thinking about a little less muzzle flash and sound. I may be wrong. I still have that 11.5 pistol I built on a Spikes lower years ago.AR15 pistol.jpg Haven't even fired it yet as it's at my sisters house with others from when my oldest son was shooting dope. I may change my mind and go with a 14.5 or a 10.3. Idano. 12.5 is the shortest barrel that you can go and still get proper stabilizing of the heavy 5.56 rounds, from what I read.

We're good Mike. My youngest Son is 16. He comes to visit on weekends. That barrel and BCG that came in from PA yesterday. I'm going to give it to Jeremy for Christmas along with a Anderson lower. He won't be able to take it home where he lives now, but it will be a Father / Son project for when he comes over. He's a good kid. Has a 3.9 grade average in high school. Like the old Johnny Cash song (one piece at a time).
