Thank you all for the compliments. I build these in my spare time as a service to the home builders and try to keep the pricing as low as possible. I've been making riveters for almost three years now and still enjoy it.

I remember before you started selling your jigs people would try just about any way possible to get trunnion rivets set - like bucking bars shaped to the contours of the trunnion. These jigs have made high quality home AK building into a reality

    Did I do that?

    I second this.

If it were not for his riviting tools, I would not have started building my own AK's.

His stuff is top notch and his service is great.

I hate to be so ignorant, but I am. So, what is the long riveter used for? Is another tool required for the trigger guard rivets or do you just press them one at a time? Also, will these work with the 20ton Harbor Freight press.

The long riveter does a better/easier job at setting the long rivets that pass through both sides of the receiver. These two riveters are for the trunnions only and another method of is used for the trigger guards.

20 ton HF press will do a great job on these but so will the 12 ton model. The results for both presses are the same for this application.

IMHO, get the long riveter also. It's well worth the few extra bucks and makes life enjoyable

One of those watershed events was when Frank posted pics of his first one and Bob was the only one seeing the brilliance in it -- saving it from second page obscurity.
