    these are all sold.

I have placed an order for 17-4 Stainless steel frames and 17-4 stainless steel with rail. I will post a new ad with those products when i have them in hand ready to ship. they will be priced at approximately $85 and $95 respectively.

They are approx 8 weeks off until i have them in hand ready to ship.

I will also order more 4140 steel frames which will be the same price and are approx 4 weeks off.

thanks to all the previous purchasers,

    Caspian

    Default 4140 frames

I am trying to learn to smith 1911 style pistols and do not wish to foul up anything on a functional weapon. are there jigs and such available to machine these frames at a home shop? I really want to learn all i can about the 1911 and possibly build some in different calibers.

    get this book,
"The Colt .45 Automatic: A Shop Manual Volume 1" Book by Jerry Kuhnhausen - MidwayUSA

it will help with hand fitting when making a 1911 in a home shop.

I'm interested in whatever is available first. Its my first build, so I'm just ready to get my hand on a quality frame to get rolling.

I'm going to ask the admin to lock this until i get them in hand. No more orders. I called the company today to check the status of shipping and BOTH numbers are disconnected. I think i may have gotten screwed out of $6K.

    this sucks.
