    Hi

    I know its impossible but thought i would throw it out there

    looking for a STG-57, PE-57 7.5 mm swiss made barrel ( not shot out)

    Several .308 out there. But I'm guessing you would rather keep it original if possible. Don't blame you one bit.

    I have a few choices I can keep the 308 barrel and get a separate barrel shroud and trim that one, and continue looking for a 7.5 barrel I m sure with time one will appear. and the re-barrel the rifle using the original shroud

    well, that .308 barrel we were looking at on Gunbroker just sold for $611... so after you find your Swiss tube, you should be able to get a nice bit of change back for the old one!

    no I will keep the 308 barrel and modified shroud, I paid $250 a couple months back for the barrel, there is another one its at $180 now
