    Default AR15 80% Billet lower bargin

    To break routine, I thot I would post something actually about building, I purchased this 80% supposedly "blem" billet AR lower from 80% arms for under $50, I checked every inch of it and can not find any blems, an body see any?

    I do not see any. Vader did a great job on engraving the ones I sent to him FWIW.

    looks like a pretty good finish on it to me...

    did they say it was a cosmetic blem vs a location blem?

    They say the colour did not meet their standards, but it looks black to me and there is not a mark on it

    Looks like Bruised Angus Blue-Black to me, .3 shades lighter than mil-spec... But it could just be my monitor.

    What ya gonna build on that? I'd grab a couple but I already have too many of the forged ones!

    Honestly? There is a glut on the market right now and 80's are for sale.

    Just received this email from Centerfire Systems; magnesium AR15 lower receiver. Cannot be anodized or blued of course. You can see a great deal of oxide from the pictures, I am not sure magnesium is a good choice for AR builds, I can see problems with electrolytic corrosion if paired with aluminum upper, but at only $19.95, may be bargin

    just glad that prices are coming down to where they should have been all along....


    but im getting away from AR's altogether... other than a couple specialty builds, they are all going bye bye.

    Looks like magnesium firestarter material. Did anyone manufacture/build these for use?

    My last,and very last AR is the A1 build. That sucker has drained the wallet.
