My daughter brought the broken BCG over today. The hook at the end of the extractor snapped in half. The part that holds the rim. I gave her the new AIM BCG I just bought and will replace the broken extractor arm.
I'm still on the fence about my next AR upper barrel. I may just order a Faxon 11.5" Gunner barrel in 5.56. I like the first one I got from Sportsman's Guide on sale last year at $119.99 + shipping. Never see that price again.lol

I am a very bad person for offering constructive advice that could be misconstrued for constructive criticism. My bad I apologize for. Rails? Like the constructive feedback about the oxygen producing machine I offered you at no cost to you I apologize.
I am sorry sir. Just trying to help prolong your life.
I would have amortized the cost no matter what as I consider you a friend.
My bad Mike and I apologize again.

I don't drink caffeine. Construed advice is not constructive criticism. It's a hand out with out being a hand up.
It's just advice. With leading to the Military manuals I believe are paramount to our hobby. No more. No less.

Leading to tooling and knowledge to further our hobby and home.
    Sorry.

We good. Just a misunderstanding. After getting the flu last week, I may be needing a oxygen machine more sooner than later. I believe the flu caused me to lose more lung capacity.

I put in a order with the good folks at Midway USA on Saturday and received a e-mail Sunday letting me no my order has shipped. Extractor, mid length gas tube, gas tube roll pin, and extractor spring kit will run me $25.00 to my door.

Midway USA listed it as a (AR-Stoner Extractor AR-15 Matte) for $4.99.

I went cheap, I know. Hope I never have to use it in anger.

AR-Stoner is Midways house brand, essentially they find a deal on parts and re-brand them. No telling who actually made your new extractor, could be a top of the line Colt sold cheap to Midway as an overstock or Hong Kong Fooey's finest knockoff... As a result their quality rep is mixed. I have heard their SS bbls are made by Douglas and some of the others are from ER Shaw so I wouldn't be afraid to buy one of their bbls though.

You might try running it in your shortest gas system gun, that is going to put the most stress on it for durability testing. If it breaks, you might try upgrading to one of these: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/74...5-nickel-boron

    They have a good rep.

Thanks kernel, I have a 11.5"Faxon barrel on a Shockwave Blade pistol I assembled. Never fired it yet. The parts should be here on the 16th. Maybe I can throw the repaired bolt in it and make some noise this weekend. I should have spent the extra $11 and got the better extractor. It said Milspec. I hope it last.
