Seems the base to shoulder length on the Wylde is a hair shorter than the others.

I was told that the difference was in the throat portion on the barrel. It splits the difference between the .223(.082") and the 5.56(1.62") throat specs which is1.20 inch . I was told this made for better accuracy compared to a 5.56 barrel while still being possible to chamber and shoot both .223 and 5.56.

I got mine for my 4.5'' guns because they were cheap and I heard as a side effect they eject easier so they are good for short barreled guns where cycling could be an issue.I still polish my chambers regardless.I don't think I would spend any extra money on one by choice.

Maybe a bit off topic but I was doing some stuff on my pistol and the sun came out long enough to tell its a PSA upper complete with yhm free floats. Now I know why no hiccups in a year or so! Its a Timex and I don't compliment often. I need to get another swivel for the rail so I can carry it. Yeah I carry my weapons. On a sling. Outside. Don't you?

^^^ thats exactly what dunn told me .. lol

& since ive never bought a .223 round in my life.... & always buy 5.56 barrels... & never had one not chamber or heard of this till just a few weeks ago?

might have one if it comes in something... but wont bother to change out anything thats shooting just fine.

Said it on another thread. The pistol I bought I finally saw is a PSA upper with YHM free float tube. Never a hiccup.CMP marked barrel.
