Default What do you look for

When building or purchasing a new AR-15 rifle what are the things you look for. Reliability, accuracy, weight, looks. I recently purchased the new Sig MCX rifle and really like it because of it's weight, 6lbs, and accuracy, 1/2 m.o.a. at 100 yards in my tests. The reviews I watched about the MCX were good.

Then I just watched this new one testing reliability/torture test.

I do not think I will be torturing my rifle like this but wonder is this a fair test of what one should look for in an AR-15 type rifle?
Would your rifle pass this torture test? Is it important to you that it would?

I tried to watch the video but I honestly couldn't get that far into. Seriously if you want to make something breakdown you can. Nice looking rifle you have there. Enjoy it. A fair test would have him closing the ejection port cover before dunking. Sgt Denard would have kicked my ass..

I've got the Sig M400 LE and love it. It's a tack driver has a chrome lined barrel and the BCG is nice and smooth and tight compared to many others I'd looked at. Of course I made everything even smoother with some judicious polishing on everything but the trigger at the moment.

What do I look for? A redheaded vixen strolling by. I'm waiting on the upper to show up so I can do a thumbs up or down. Most forged receivers in this country come from two or three foundries here. Outside of that its just a bunch of parts assembled to each other.
