Default Oldest son came up today

To sight in his 300BO I gave him that upper Gary Willard (Twin Cities Armament) assembled for me. Flawless. Am I surprised? Not hardly. Son shot Georgia Arms ammo in LC formed 223 brass. 150 gr? maybe.?Got to say,it didn't make the racket of a 5.56. The wife's lunch was a bonus with Pecan pie for dessert after the roast beef, mac and cheese, cornbread baked in a cast iron skillet, mashed potatoes, corn and green beans.Methinks he's ready for a nap

Agreed. My brother has a X39 AR upper in his collection he got in a trade. With the current price of 300BO ammo, I walk away. Maybe as a house gun W/500 rounds stashed.

If I do decide on a 300BO i'll start reloading again. And hire one the grandkids to pick up my 5.56 brass for resizing.

I think I still have double mold in a box somewhere for the cast 145gr .30 boolits I was making up for 30/06 and .308 reloads. Never got around to finishing the home made gas check maker that I saw at CAST BOOLITS forum years ago. With that homemade punch set, you could make gas checks from pop cans.

These days if I do reload it's single stage. The son bought a bag of Georgia Arms ammo. One of my favorite places.
