i like the look of the gun & would just have the barrel "shroud length"..

but then again if your gonna SBR it? shorten it on up!

I knew going in I was going to have to unfix the fixed stock and I'll never see the green for a Swedish K or S&W M76. So why not just SBR it?
My trigger finger still works and if I decide to can it I'll be able to step up the monocore I have worked out in my head. At this stage in life a couple stamps are less than the purchase of another gun.
Just wish I thought this way back in the 70's when I could have had a MAC10 and stamp for the price of a 44 Magnum revolver.

I'm a lot later than I should be here. This thing and maybe an AR. A suppressor in 22,monocore.I found a computer generated mock up site years ago that let me key in the physics of gas flow and heat dispersion. Lost the site but I remember the results.
Haven't decided to stay 22 or build one larger for this thing. I'm leaning towards the 22 really.

we do quite a few silencers.... people buy them.

first thing i learned from SubSonic is that if its a high powered rifle & you dont want to run special or low power ammo.... all your gonna get is hearing safe.

if you want real "pew pew" like you get in the movies?

you either gotta stay with a low powered round: 22lr, 9mm, 45acp

or your going to load custom for the occasion.

you've seen the 7.62 vids with factory ammo i posted.... its good noise reduction. no pons/muffs needed... but they still sound like a gun.

then go listen to SubSonics cans with custom ammo: friggin awesome! like in the movies!~

When I worked at the shop when I was a 23yr.old kid it was all Mitch Werbell, screen wrapped ported barrels and the boring flat washer technology. Then the 80's got here. I wasn't working there anymore but the technology has always piqued my interest. Helped a few cops that were doing form1builds for personal use. The weight difference alone between old school.

I wish I could have a can for a couple of my hunting rifles, but Damn,, the cost of the stupid stamp just makes it way beyond my reach.

This tax stamp stuff is a pain in the ass IMHO, for a class 3 , ya that I understand. But if I want one for my 06 or something I'd have to dump a ton of $$$ for one by the time all was said and done,,,and actually with that particular gun. I'd have over double of what I have in the gun total for just the cost of the can at the door!!! WTF?????

That would be just stupid IMO! No wonder I can't hear shit anymore after all these years of hunting!!! Gezzzzzzz
