It actually made it through the 5,000 rounds. Myself, I only own AKM's made by OEM manufacturers or rifles I build using OEM parts. No way i would buy an American made AKM, too many reports of defective rifles especially Century, yikes!

Holly Crap !!! That means I'd need to buy at least 3 of those a year if surviving through 5k rounds is some kinda great feat ! That's Pretty Damn Sad for an AK platform if you ask me!

For real, I saw one that only made it through about 800-900 ,I think it was an PAP model ,,before the barrel pin broke off and the barrel started backing out of the trunion,,,Now ain't That something SPECIAL !!!

A farmer in Russia can make one in his shed that will last till the cows come home but Century and many others in the US for that matter , can't seem to do it in a modern factory,,WTF?

I'll still take my VZ58's over a AK all day long, a much much better gun IMHO.

PAP's are made in Serbia I think. Have read reports about them being made from soft steel with bolt carrier tail deforming from the hammer hitting it.
