    Default IGF built AMD-63 pics

Here's some of Jaysons work for anybody that's interested.

The rifle is built on an OOW receiver and it's been parkerized. I refinished all the furniture in tung oil and Jayson ever parked the top of the pistol grips. I highly recommend him to anyone who needs any work done to their AK or any other firearm.

Looks great. For the longest time, I did not like the AMD rifles. They have grown on me and now I like the fact they look different than most AK varients.

Both of you do excellent work, the metal and wood look GREAT!!!!! No doubt when the AMD kits are gone their gone. You must feel lucky to have one.

Looks nice. I just don't like blond wood. I refinished mine to a darker color.

I agree! Great looking rifle you have ther Jim! I think where one of the AMD's would really shine is amongst a collection of other AK variants, when friend's check out my AK's the Romanian with a forward pistol grip always, and I do mean always, gets some extra attention. I really am falling for these 63's, the 65's are plenty nice but I'd want an original and if I were going SBR I'd go with a AKSU.

I really like the "I" grip, something about it just sets the Hungarian AK's away from every other derivitive but one quick question...Would standard wood or polymer pistol grips aid in mag changes? It appears that they might, but not having handled an AMD I'm just curious?

Inserting the mag is easy but trying to take it out is the hard part because I don't won't to scuff the front grip. Also you can forget about the 40 rounders because those will definitely won't work without hitting the front grip.
