The bulgy circle 10 is a sure fit and function, but expensive. https://www.k-var.com/shop/M-74N.html The Polish Beryl mags are great from what I hear, expensive as well. I've got one on order from Poland. Those Tapco M85 mag that I narrowed do the job at the range for about $15 ea.

They are .223. I can't remember why I bought the first one, I think I was buying all types of 223 ak mags to see what works. I have a norinco 223 and a ak47 223 that I built, and was trying out many types to see what works best, but this was my first ak74 223. The tabs are exactly where they need to be to lock in with no trimming. Just needed to narrow the front. The plastic is plenty thick to do this without compromising strength. They are an anti-tilt design, like a Magpul AR mag. That really helps feeding. I have some steel m85 mags, but you cant really thin them enough without it getting too thin. But the metal ones work well in the Chin and the homebuilt 47. Mississippi Auto Arms bought out Tapco's supply after they discontinued them. PAP M85 PV 30 rd. They are identical to Tapco's Galil mags, exept for thicker tabs. I tried modding a tapco galil mag, but there is a lot of up and down movement.

Nice build. The AK74 to 5.56 conversions are a nice caliber change up.

Thanks guys. I'm really liking this build. It handles great, its fairly light, accurate enough with irons. It was one of those builds that came off without a hitch, no "I really wish I had done that differently" or "Well, that isn't right, but it will have to do".

I got a m85 and two Bulgarian kits in 556 . One is alpha ish build and another is a groza clone.
For the m85 I have I think two mags . And two converted 35rd galil mags.
    I got two 30's and one 20 circle 10.

I need more mags for the bul. Can you guys tell me what tapco mag I can mod to work ?

It depends on the front trunion. If its a 74 type, then modify the M85 Tapco from Mississippi auto arms, is what worked best for me. If its a 47 type then I think the tapco m85 may work unmodified.
