MP5/10!

Kinda pricey, but the radial delayed carbines from CMMG.

AR-based pistol caliber blowback rifles tend to abuse the mechanism as the bolt, even with a heavyweight buffer, is pretty light compared to your average SMG bolt. 9mm ARs tend to slam the hammer so hard the pin holes egg shape and can break parts with high round counts. Imagine what a 10mm would do!

How are you liking the M&P? Been wanting one but early adopters reporting issues have scared me off, have they been fixed? Currently only own one 10mm, a long slide G40 clone made from a Polymer 80 large frame, with a comp and Vortex Venom red dot. I call her "Glockzilla", If I run out of ammo I can still pistol whip someone across the room without getting off the couch! Figured I'd use it for hunting or the odd Western Star truck with a Green Goblin grille... The M&P would be much more practical as a sidearm for EDC.

Another option is the Mech Tech replacement carbine uppers for Glocks, 1911, and XDs. You just remove the slide from your pistol and attach the remaining piece under the carbine conversion unit.

HK MP5/94 in 10mm would be my choice as well since we're spending your dollars! Macon Armory has an ar15 DI (locked bolt) upper in 10mm if you're going to be running it at original pressures with jacketed rounds.

My LGS has a few CMMG MK10's I will take a look at but ouch 1549.00 on their website.
The M&P had a few fails to extract its first time out. Was using the wimpy Federl ammo.
Picked up some S&B 180's for its next time out.
