i am building a xm177e2 "clone"-- it won't be an exact copy as this is a heavy barrel. i am going to use a a2 upper too. with the 4.6" flash hider blind pinned on it is going to be exactly 16.15" length wise which gets me out of NFA regulation. will be reasonably close to the real 177e2. mine will have a few modern things like 1-9 twist, Hbar, black finish but most important it will FEEL a lot like the old 177e2--
the one in the photo is a e1 that was 10" and some odd --i think 10.2"
the e2 is just like the e1 but it was 11.5" all the old ones were pencil barreled with very slow twist rates.
one of these days i am going to finish that a1 build i bought that upper for a decade ago--LOL!

I am telling everyone these tax stamps are gonna be money someday.
Like pre ban machine gun stamps.
Gonna send for one a month till I go bankrupt. Which should be soon.

I just sent in for my next tax stamp. Hell it is only $200. I have spent more than that in an hour in the bar.

my class three buddie came by here the other day with his 12" mall-ninja tax stamped shortie. mucho fun to shoot. i am thinking of getting a stamp for my xm-177. i would have to machine off the flash hider when the stamp was approved. i just cringe at handing over $2 bills to the government though. LOL!:nanabang:
