hi, been looking for some good 1911 build/ trouble shooting books, I've been trying to get hold of "The colt .45 automatic A shop manual - volume 1" by jerry Kuhnhausen, tried lots of usuall places but it has not been in print for some time now so looks like its going to be second hand now, does any one know were i can buy one or has someone got one that they could covert to an E-mail book, or does any know of an other readily available book thats as good as this one is? I've got a military handbook and all that covers is a basic understanding no fault find or tuning at all. Any help or advice would be very welcome as I have put two 1911's together both work although one is a lot better than the other and now I am looking to get them working 100%. thanks dinger.

hi, thanks for that Rhino I'll have to get in contact with them via E-mail as i'am in the UK hopfully they will be willing to post to the UK, may also be a good source of spares as they are quite expensive in the UK for 1911 parts. thanks again for the info.
