A 5.45x39 Saiga rifle should be available !

European American Armory does not think enough interest has been conveyed to them. A Saiga can be bought for what a 5.45x39 bulgarian parts set costs.

Call or e-mail EAA, tell them they should ask the russians to make 5.45x39 Saiga rifles, they have all the tooling, it is their current military issued round.

EAA's response. Now sit back and pour yourself a cold one. Kick your shoes off.Make sure you have some free time before reading. Have a Webster's onhand.

Are you ready?

Drum roll please!

EAA's response verbatim.

At least I give them credit for responding, more than most would.

Graphic pic WARNING!

E-mail already sent!

Wasn't trying to shoot the messenger, I just knew I'd seen the 5.45x39 Saigas somewhere. Now if we could only teach those cheap commies how to assemble serious sporting ammunition ~ala~ V-max and Ballistic Tip we'd really have something! Steel case would be fine (since AK's beat up brass anyway) but those steel jackets have to go...Of course there's always get the 5.56 model. The 5.45's would be excellent '74 projects though.

As a side note, I've whacked quite a few groundhogs with the 5.45 SP and it does a number on them 'hogs but nothing in comparison to 5.56 V-max loads. Here's one took him through the back of the head and out the chest. Steel jacket fell out of his chest cavity when I rolled him over...Effective, just not as "explosive"
