I thought I saw a post a couple of weeks ago for $50 complete Romanian barrel assemblies. Did anyone else see this or am I completely out in left field? If there was a post about this, who had them for sale? :dunno:

I saw it too, but I cannot remember who. Something says KVAR in my mind.

Problem is there is no trunion, and cross pin. Further, now you will have some head space issues when you use a trunion not matched up to that particular barrel. Jack

An oversized barrel pin will help after getting the headspace worked out. Also the new bulgarian trunnions that global sells (and I think k-var has them too) would be good for these barrels. Is the groove in the barrels already for the barrel pin, or....?

Thanks! Those are the ones I was talking about. The ad says "never installed in trunnion", so they wouldn't have the notch from the barrel pin.

I have three parts kits that are completely mismatched. Every piece has a different number. I planned on using one of the kits for the .45 conversion, but since Winn supplied me with some RPK barrel blocks and I bought some AK parts cheap on eBay, I won't need to use anything from the kits. Because the standard barrel pin position would break through into the .45 bore, I'm going to order a new undrilled trunnion and move the barrel pin up about 0.100"

The barrel in one kit is completely scrap and I can't justify not replacing it (expecially for $50) to make a cheap rifle.
