DSA ZM4 Stripped Lower Receiver - DSZM4R-D S Arms

no i haven't bought one of these either. i do have a DSA lower and it is very nice. it is not a blem though.

i bought some LAR blem uppers last year and their blemished places were in spots that were hidden by furniture, sights and what not.

if i needed a lower i would spring for one of these. DSA is very picky about what goes through the door. i figure the blem these have will be very hard to spot.

if my barrel deal don't come through i might just pick one of these up and worry about building it later.

Thanks j427x, You find all the good deals. I put myself on the waiting list for four of those LAR flat top blem uppers you found last fall.
well i was hunting for a barrel for my m-177e2 replica build and found some inexpensive lowers thanks to that link to the discount priced DSA upper.

i find a good deal every now and again. but since the panic there getting rare.

i did find that bushmaster had the 11.5 barrels on sale for $145--in MARCH!

i asked them to make me a deal cause i was late to the party--but that was a no-go.

so now i am waiting for midway to get the DPMS version back in stock--LOL

i seem to find everything EXCEPT what i am looking for!
hell of a deal on these lowers-- i"m in for two of um. $60 for a LMT made lower? how can ya pass that up?--LOL

from what i have heard about them all the blem is is the DSA roll mark it a bit light.
So, are "Delaware Machined" lowers worth a damn?

How about $125 out the door?

Thanks

i haven't built a delaware machined lower. so i can't honestly say.

i did see some close up pictures of the DM's back when JSE was selling them. they looked very good and came in a plastic carrying case sort of like a glock. that that time they were selling for either $85 or $90 IIRC. i think those had the bigger lettering and more fancy roll marks than the ones in R-guns add as well.

fancy roll marks and a pretty finish don't make a lower function better but it certainly don't hurt either.

the best lower i have seen in a long time is those TNW billets--

All I know is that a local shop has them for $100+tax. I thought I might buy 2 or 3 at that price.:dunno:

$100 is just an OK price in today. not bad for a retail shop though.

a few months back any kind of lower was going for $150+

the DSA blem is the best deal out there on a ar-15 lower.

the FN-FAL lowers go for hundreds of dollars. DSA has them but their $450 ish--
AIM had Aero lowers for $75 last winter. Centerfire does AR lowers every now and then from top name manufactures. I personally wont pay extra just for who's name is stamped on the side. 75% all come from the same place anyway and are mil-spec.

no i haven't handled or built any DM lowers. i did a quick search on the net and did find a few threads where they were used in builds. no complaints or problems were posted.

bad news travels at the speed of light on the internet. if these DM lowers were bad we would be hearing about it everyday.

if you like the delaware machine lower i can't see any real reason not to buy one.

one company i trade with JSE has been selling them for some time. they have all ways sold quality stuff to me. i don't think they would sell lowers that were not up to speed.
For you guys that are procrastinating here's a nice how to site

got them today.

one looks absolutely perfect the other has some discoloration that you have to look really hard to see. no specks or streaks in it though. roll marks look good on them.

all the holes seem to be in the right places and the right size. mags seem to fit right. mags drop free easy.

they appear to be very finely made.

they have the picturgrams instead of fire and safe markings.

i assembled the one with the most noticeable discolorations and once it had a little oil on it the finish looks even now and it matches the other one that looks perfect. triggers pull is very good with stock trigger set up. all pin holes are in the right place and the right size. very smooth assembly. best $60 i ever spent on a lower.
Thats awesome!!
