Well that was a shocker, flying down and spending 3 days at a 4 star hotel/spa/casino sitting poolside under palm trees splashing in the pool with my daughter.
It was like a lightswitch had just been flipped turning off December and turning on June. Didn't really feel Xmasy at all..
It was nice to see all my cousins and aunts again and nice for my girl to meet her family she's never met.

I would have liked to have been where you were!

I got 18 inches of snow, a collapsed awning, 8 hours of shoveling at least, 1 stuck truck, and 2 sick children for Christmas.

Under the circumstances though I did not have to attend a funeral.

It will be in the high 50's here later in the week. Amazing since it was sub zero at night the last few days.

That's a shame D.B.....I guess some good came of it if you daughter got to meet family she hasn't seen before.
That reminds me of stepping on a plane in Oakland in 1968 and stepping of it in Saigon.
Hope New Years Day turns out to be good for you and the family.
