This is just a quick rundown on the pics.
These are of just the receiver(Vulcan)itself.
After hardining the ejecter rail and pin holes. I made a plate for the trigger guard. First with a peice of 12 guage steel weld stock, and tapped each hole for 8/32 screws. I had to do a little grinding on the peice of flat I added becouse the hammer wouldn't clear the flat. I decided to go with a thicker steel for strength and longevity. Although a thinner peice would work just fine. I tend to go a little over board sometimes.
After setting the trigger guard I had to alter the holes for the front trunion to fit well with the mag and guard to seat right. The holes for the rear trunion didn't fit the trunion I had, so I again had to improvise.
I than filled the previous rear trunion holes with a metal repair epoxy. Sanded smooth with 220 than 400 grit, And drilled new holes for the (rear) trunion.
The whole time checking the receiver cover and mag to catch and fit snug.
If you guys have any questions "Shoot" I'll be glad to give a little more detail on my build.
Note:These pics are (not) in order. I fit, drill, sand, etc.etc than fit again. And take pictures while I'm at it. It's not yet completely done. But when it is, I'll post the "final pics by shadow". I'm still working on lacquring the furniture though.
Thanks!
And again this could'nt have been done without all the input and research on this sight.
You know how you are.
