I think you need to be more specific, like who is the manufacturer, does it have a P/N?

I think hes talking about the lazer cut flats that you weld.

That is correct the laser cut ones. I have no access to machining tools. And I'm really trying to find a simple cheap way to do this.

Use a pre bent blank like Ace or BentMetal or Coldsteel and then use the tutorial that 7.62x39 wrote. I really think this is the easiest way to build an AK type rifle without buying a receiver from an FFL.

Has any one used this type of receiver? Are they any easier to bend?
I have used one and you have to be a pretty good welder to get it to look right and it really does require a tig welder to do it right. They bend very easy because of the lasor cuts in them.I mig welded mine and had splatter all over the thing by the time I was done and it required a lot of grinding and sanding. I would have to agree with the last post, try an ace bentblack for your first build. Their is one advantage to the lasor flats though. All your magwell cutouts and holes are there already so if you are a good welder, It may be an easier build for you. ak'sr4me
