I purchased an ak scope mount from clearview investments. It was an ak mount made in belaurus. My problem is how does it go on and stay. I released the lever an then attached it to the receiver mount and then locked it on. However, it wants to slide off (I actually have to pull it off but it still comes off even with the lever locked). How am I making this to difficult of a situation.

Also, does anyone have a picture of the backside of these russian ak mounts. I ask this because on the back side front, mine has a rivet head but I don't see the function.

thanks for help in advance!!

Check the link Toten Kopf gave and check the adjustment of the locking clamp.

Check your mount and see if there is a stop pin twds the front of the mount. If so you have a Dragunov mount. If your rail is relieved and that pin "stops" up front keeping the mount front sliding forward and off, you should just be able to tighten up the clamp and be good to go.
