i am getting ready to rivet the front trunion and noticed that 2 of the holes are countersunk and 4 are flat. do i use 2 countersink rivets and 4 regualr ones????

i have the rivets from 1pats group buy. i just did my trigger guard using 7.62x39 tool and it took about 2 minutes and looks perfect.

The two countersunk holes need to have swell-neck rivets installed. But before installing them the receiver where the holes are needs to countersunk also. I use Plinker's jig to do this but I've heard (I haven't done it) others have used a punch to do the same thing.

If you don't perform this operation the swell-neck rivets won't sit flush and they become ineffective. Hope this helps.

I have an air hammer with a pointed bit that does a perfect job on those. I have Plinker's jig as well but the air hammer is so much faster it is not even funny.
