No, I haven't thought about selling these. This being my first build, I was just looking for opinions. I took the OD down to 7/8 and used a 3 degree taper to match to the barrel. I though that it looked better than the goofy 2 inch extension that tapco was selling. After polishing and a real tree cammo paint job. You will not see a weld.

Positive criticism, the weld is a little on the heavy side, BATFE will love it. Most of us try to comply with the law by making the requirements the least noticable.

In another word, comply with the law but make it look natural.

Didn't think about you working the weld, it will look great. For any AMD-65 build what you did is necessary for proper barrel length.

Also, (for non AMD-65 builds) I think that many are trying to stay away from doing any heavy welding in anticipation that the AWB will sunset. Doing the same job using silver solder (on a threaded barrel) will allow them to remove the muzzle brake clean up the threads and have a removeable muzzle brake. Just a thought.

Just in case Bama doesn't want to make them, try here for a similar one.

Hmm, I'm thinking one of those might be a cool addition to my NHM91. I was considering a regular AMD brake but that gets into the parts count issue and I actually think the longer ones look cooler! Anyone have experience with them? I've fired rifles with the regular AMD brake and they make a helluva sound, what about these homebrewed extended models?
