I scored a 1952 Russian SKS with the box, papers, sling, cleaning kit, 2 factory stripper clips, and it has the laminated stock to boot. All the numbers match on the gun with the exception of the stock which is XXX out and is restamped with the correct number. This gun looks to have never been fired since it was rebuilt by the Russians. It has the polished bolt and bayonet.

I only paid $270 out the door for it at the Bill Goodman gunshow in Dayton Ohio. :woot: :woo: :hyper: :nanabang: :headbang:

I have two Russian SKSs the other is also the laminated type but it has the painted black bolt and the bayonet has the sandblasted finish on it.

:useless: I don't have a digital camera. :sorry: :sorry: :sorry:

Nice find on the SKS. I hope to add a Russian SKS to the collection someday.

For picture posting you can use the manage attachments button when posting or replying to a post on this site but it has size restrictions. Using this method your photo sits on gunco's server.

I signed up with www.photobucket.com for a free picture hosting account. It limits file size to 250K but will automatically resize pics that are too big. Once posted on the web, you copy the http...addy of the file and insert it here using the handy 'insert image' feature. I like this method because it allows me to maintain a small photo album on the net.

Did that help any??

If you can email the pics, I would be more than happy to post them for you, just let me know.

Thanks sniper69 you are the man. I am learning as I go.

The AKs are a SLR-100H built by Gordon Tech, SAR1 with laminated stock, and a Polytech AKS underfolder with spike bayonet.

:notworthy

The SKSs are both laminated models one has a black painted bolt carrier while the other is polished. The polished one is the one I just got.

Nice stuff and that sounds like a good price. I hope to see it at the next shoot.
Thank You, keep me posted as to when the next one is. My little girl is about to be born any day know. They told us she will weigh 10 pounds. :scared:

 I guessed the weight pretty good on my boy at 8 1/2 or there abouts. 10 lbs is nuts!

We'll have to see what Leadhead says about the range down there and if we can use it still. Custer has a good place, but we can't all go if he takes too many non members.

Maybe we need to join his club so we all can go when we want at any time.
I have one place close that I can shoot at but it is a public/free place and it is small only 4 tables and it is only 100 yards. I do drive to Knob Creek about 2 times a year just to shoot on there range. I don't get to shoot as much as I like. I do go to a lot of shows just to look at guns and when I have money I buy as much as I can sneak in the front door when the wife is not looking.

You are right, I need to join and if one other person does too we can take 10 15 people in at a time.

Were is his club and how do you join? How much does it cost? I may join if it is not more than 30 miles from my house. I live about 3 miles from the Florence Mall off of I75.
