I would love to try it one time. I may go to Knob Creek and try it. I have never fired a full Auto AK but I have fired a M16, M60, M2 50 Cal.

I would also like to try a MP5. When I come into alot of money :lol: I am going to buy a Full Auto.

Yup, I have and . . .

7.62x39 really is a poor round for full-auto fire, unless your target is very close. The rate of fire is managable . . . I could get two round bursts.

This individual also had a suppressor for the weapon. With regular ammo, it was about as loud as a .22lr. With special ammo, the loudest part was the action reciprocating. He was thinking about installing a gas cutoff like a Yugo SKS just to eliminate that noise also.

I've shot full auto with a ak at The Firing Line in Oklahoma. It has a lot more muzzle jump than an ar15. Once you had a feel for it a person can keep the bullets down range. But that was about it. It bounces around so much you'd be lucky to anything but the first shot at 75 yards.

after my CLEO signed my form 4's my dealer took me out to test my M11/9 which was a blast but he also brought along his MP5SD,which I instantly became emotionaly attached to,kind of like test driving a hummer(not an H2)then buying a suzuki samuri LOL..but i still love my little bullet hose its a blast with with the suppressor on it.now to start saving for an M16 or FNC

Can't wait for the next Full Auto Shoot next month (http://www.oklahomafullauto.com). I'd really like to try a FA AK-74 variant.

along time ago, i was an instructor at a u.s. and foreign weapons range at west point. all the pleebs got to shoot an ak, so , you know i had my fun. it was funny, but a little dangerous, put a 95 lb. female in a foxhole, who can barely see over the top, and let them fire on auto.no burst control, you learn real quick to stand to the side , NOT, behind then.{make a mental picture}

In the service. AK-47, M16A1, M14, M1 Garand, M60.

The AK47 is pretty wild in FA. If one fired it enough, one would become accustomed to it, learning to anticipate and counter the recoil impulses and the muzzle climb. When you see news clips of guys firing these from the hip or with a folding stock folded, it is a wonder that any designated target gets hit other than pure dumb luck.

Anybody ever bump? Know how you can't hit anything? Same thing applies to an FA AK, IMO and experience.

Yup. A fried of mine invited me out to the dump with his FA AK. It was pretty wild until we slapper a 75 rd drum in it. It was a helluva lot more controllable until we got 1/2 way through it.

What FUN. :ak47:

Once or twice...

Lemme think, full auto AK's.

I've only fired full auto Yugoslav, Bulgarian, Romanian, Soviet/Russian, and Finnish. Also fired the Swedish AK5 on fully auto. Plus about half a dozen light machine guns, and an automatic grenade launchers.

Word of the wise, firing nine magazines of all tracers on full auto in quick order will burn out a barrel. Whoops.

The Finnish variet of the AK47 made by Sako is the most accurate AK47 I've seen. On full auto, I successfully shot all 30 rds into a target the size of a coffeecan at 25m. Sounds easy? Heh, try it sometime with a normal manufacture AK.

Plenty of photos if anyone wants.
