Never forget what British minds
got us after we sacrificed American
soldiers to break the WWI stalemate.

After our Presidential Election, Brits wondered "How Could 59 Million Americans Be So Dumb?" It wasn't the first time, they looked down their snooty noses at us. The British and French Prime Ministers publicly ridiculed President Wilson when he traveled to France to offer a 14 point peace plan. They regarded the plan as nonsense (dumb), laughed at Wislon publicly in his face, and imposed the Treaty of Versailles on a troubled Europe. When Hitler threatened War, if he were denied the Sudetenland, Brits exercised their superior brain power by appeasing him. Of course, once Hitler had the Sudetenland, his forces quickly took the rest of Czechoslovakia.

Brits might as well have painted Iron Crosses on Czech Armor
like this T38.

Chamberlain's sophisticated, European diplomacy gave Adolf Hitler Czechoslovakia's renowned munitions industry, including T-35 and T-38 tanks, renamed by Germany as Panzer-35T and Panzer-38T tanks, each of which was superior to Hitler's tanks of the time. One fourth of tanks which blitkrieged across Europe in 1940-41 were Czech.

The golden age of the panzers, when the light and Czech tanks
made up the bulk of the panzerdivisionen.

The paper Chamberlain waved to his countrymen may as well have been a Bill of Sale of Czech armaments. So, what gives Brits the right to call us dumb?

And when everyone thought that Japan would take Australia in the early days of WWII, Churchill said "Let it go.......we'll take it on the way back" the US Navy fought the Battle of the Coral Sea and turned the Jamanese invasion fleet.

I can not believe that there are those that are falling into the same trap. If you do not stand up for yourself no one else will. May the U.N. be damned!!

I went shooting yesterday with a good buddy who is Jewish. He is in his early 40's.

the subject came up because we were shooting some of my WWII military rifles and that led to some history discussions.

He believes that once the greatest generation is gone, it will not be long before very few people will believe the Holocaust happened, or if it did, it will mean nothing to them. He included Jews in that assessment as well.

I suspect he is right. Our memories are not very good.

The problem with a lot of Europeans is that they hold the "peace at any cost" philosophy. Perhaps they have good cause to desperately hold on to peace , even when it is clear that the time is well past to go to war , having been through two devastating wars in the last century.

The US and W did the right thing , going into Iraq. Doing the right thing may not be popular , may not win you praise in your time , but as history will judge , it was the right thing to do.

Europeans play it off that we just were itching for a fight , couldn't control our bloodlust and had at Iraq , to satisfy this bloodlust. They don't see , or don't want to admit seeing , that we were VERY patient through years of violated UN agreements , violated terms of Gulf War I peace agreements , and Saadam's shooting at our planes.

Pray that what you are doing is right , consider all of the facts , THEN DO WHAT IS RIGHT.

In any contest (war) the fence sitters hop on the winning teams side after all is said and done.

Virility...true virility is a virtue proper to men (as is obvious from its Latin origin, vir, meaning "man" specifically and not "man-kind" generally). Somewhere in the post-empirical modern era of the 18th and 19th centuries European men, particularly the leaders, began to lose that virtue. By the post-modern era of the 20th century, that virtue was all but gone...and it reflected in their politics and foreign policy.

We in America have retained that virtue a little longer. However, looking at "men" around us, we as a nation are losing that virtue very quickly. May God have mercy on us when we follow the path of Western Europe and cannot muster enough political courage and virility to stop and expel the invaders.

SP, Political Correctness and the media are playing an important part in our loss of "virility" as you stated. 50 or 100 years ago our ability to communicate with one another was limited by availabe technology, today, we can communicate with the opposite side of the world at the speed of light. Political correctness must be observed at all times so as not to "insult" any other party and that takes away our ability to say things as they really are. We live in a different world now and we have to make adjustments to survive.
