Armalite AR-17 Semi auto 12 gauge shotgun. This shotgun was designed by Eugene Stoner who also designed the AR-15. Enough parts for 1800 of these shotguns produced between 1964 to 1965 were made but only 1200 were put together and sold. It's a Super a lightweight shotgun. Specifications. (1964 - 1965). Type: Shotgun. Caliber: 12 gauge. Weight: 5.5 lbs (2.5 kg). Length: Approximately 36 in (91.4 cm). Barrel length: 24 in (61 cm). The locking bolt is similar to the AR-15 locking bolt w/10 locking points. The shotgun takes two shells, what makes it so collectable is it was a failure in some ways, being only 2 shots and the light weight of it as it's receiver and barrel are aluminum. It's in excellent overall condition, some scratches on plastic stock from storage in safe, Has 3 different chokes all included, has less than 20 rounds through it.
