The frangible APLP ammo will bore through steel and other hard targets but will not pass through a human torso, an eight-inch-thick block of artist?s clay or even several layers of drywall. Instead of passing through a body, it shatters, creating ?untreatable wounds.?

Wow! Talk about a poison bullet! Another snippet from the article:

The bullet is so controversial that if Thomas, a former SEAL, had been on active duty, he would have been court-martialed for using it. The ammunition is ?nonstandard? and hasn?t passed the military?s approval process.

Quite interesting, thanks for sharing!

I know a lot of the membership here doesn't have much use for AR15.com, but I will say that the knowledge level on what works in 5.56mm is at it's highest point there.

The LeMas Blended Metal bullet stuff has been panned by just about every person in the "industry" of practical ballistics.

Fackler, Roberts, Rogers, etc.

Stick with the M193 for "cheap" good ammo, or the Hornaday TAP in 75 gr., or the Holiest of Holies.......XM262 MOD O 77gr. OTM.

Yeah I had seen over there that the thought was that this stuff was BS.
