Just got this tool from Brownell's, it's really moose meat!! Can't wait to use it on my next build. I have been eyeing this tool for a long time (and wondered just how it worked) but never got it.

Let's you mark the barrel and receiver at one time for re-installation alignment. As you can see in the instructions the head is cut at 90 degrees so placing it on the barrel, next to the receiver, give it a wack and you will have marked a line on both parts. Very cool.
I guess I should have posted this in the "Machine Shop"...sorry.

Man that is moose meat.. I think I will make one for my next build.. Thanks for the pic, that tool will not be hard to make at all... A cheap screw driver, grinder, and some case-in-it and I will be good to go..

OK, Thats the first time I have ever heard that expresion and I live in the New England area and the only time we refer to any such term is what you get after some poor sap plows into one at 65mph on a dark highway  . And the tool is cool or Moose meat but also it's so simple, why did I not think of that?

That will work great! Gives us all hope in marking for correct alignment.

THANKS TOTEN KOPF.
