BATFE Revises Policies on Firearms "Transfers"

In a recent ruling regarding the âtransferâ of firearms, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATFE) has reversed policies that have been in place for more than 40 years.

I just don't understand how they can make arbitrary dicisions and reversals at the wim of the political group in charge. You can be sure there has been plenty of pressure from holder to make lots of rulings.

Yeah. What the hell is up with that. The ATF is not the Government. They are there too enforce rules established BY the Government.
So WTF. They just sit around, sip coffee and think up new friggen laws.
I thought only dictatorships did that.
That is why I am investing in Tax Stamps S.B.R.s etc.
Wake up one morning. No more stamps.
They are picking at LEGAL gun ownerships rites piece by piece.
Eventually just like prohibition. People are going to tell them where too stick their friggen laws.
Yep, collect your stamps while you can, because the government doesn't much care for freedom... it prevents them from helping you.
the government is trying to do an end-around play to circumvent the spirit of the law.

so one day if you loan your own 22 rimfire to your son to shoot cans in the backyard it will require a transfer and a background check!
