Has anyone used the bentmetal blanks?I was thinking of trying them and was wondering if they came with a templete and how is the templete attached to the blank?Also what is the best way to aline the templete?Thanks again for all your help. rick :thankyou:

Bent Metal's blanks are excellent blanks and they do come with a template from what I last recall. There's a number of ways to align your template and attach it to your blank one of which is to scribe a line dead center right down the length of your blank and then match it up with the center of your template, and eyeballing it as you do it. Use a water based gluestick or spray adhesive.

Make sure you trim the front end and fit it to your parts prior to putting the template on.

I just bought a bent metal "battle blank" .065 thick. It is a real nice heavy duty quality blank. It did not come with a template but I just used an ACE template and it worked fine. The blank also came with 2 longer than stock axis pins because of the extra thickness of the metal. ak'sr4me

Keep in mind that the Ace template is designed for a .040 wall blank.
The bend radius is factored into the template.
If you use it on a .065 wall blank, your FCG hole locations might be too low.
