Ive done numerous park jobs with good results ,but i want to get them a bit more evenly and darker park
Now ive read up on casewells black oxide and im getting different opinions

One thread on another board is saying to black oxide after parking
and here Pirates tutorial says do it before parking?
Unfortunatley the other thread has dead pictures so i cant tell the results
And Pirates results look like the ones i want to acheive

Now im thinking black oxing after parking would be harder due to the fact you have to seal the parking with an oil solution,and that black oxing before parking would be better because you dont have to seal before parking(only card off)
Is it possible to park the parts and not seal before black oxing and not get streaking ?
Dunno which to do-any thoughts pointers before i try out both?

SWD used to sell a product called "Pre-black". It was used before parking. It worked well.

Brownells still has it, you mix it with acid and water and use as a pre-dip before dunking in the solution. We used a plastic trash can as the tank, when it comes out of the dip it is black and ready for parking.

i have the casewells stuff allready
I just was a bit confused as to doing it before or after parking
The next one I do I'll try using the casewells before i put it into the park tank
And for now i have some freshly parked parts that I'll have to degrease and try the casewells to see if itll work after sealing-I kinda have doubhts itll do much due to the fact that the park is allready sealed-dunno,might just darken it a tad
