I've been looking at them as well, but I have talked myself out of it in favor of building a semi M14.

so the 59 was a cheaper imposter... but close... so still fighting the urge.

I do it the po boy way. Buy a bit or 2 as I can over the course of several months and never add it up. I think I can do it for less than the cost of a similar Springfield M1A if i shop around.

If I was in the building mode, I think I'd just rather do up a M14 and get it over with myself to be honest.

Good to hear from you t. I don't get on the websites much these days. Maybe that will change soon. I finally got my little shop built, and after Christmas I hope to purchase some machinery and do some serious gun smithing and building.

the man is an absolute Master at any of the M series guns.... Garand, carbine, M14.....

he just stepped into those things & started knocking them out. & he is a super good dude on top of that. will help ANYONE who asks.
