FYI, Nicoroshi and I just released the second (and way bigger) Volume 2 ebook. This one covers a full parts kit build from de-mil, flat bending, riveting and tuning/fitting everything too.

It's over 200 pages with 240+ images. We really took our time to show all the small details, and tricks. There is also a fair amount of tips for what is different on variants like Yugos/ Krinks too. Hope you like it...

(Kindle version)
Volume II: Building the Parts Kit

Other Versions:

NOOK (Barnes & Noble)
Kobo
iBooks

Paperback

No Kindle, no prob. Just get the Kindle Reader app here first. Works on iPad/iPhone/Android/PC/MACs. And a big THANKS to Pookie for his help/advice.

Thanks Sprat. Maybe someone in another 100 years will pull it up to see how things like "garage gunsmithing" were done back in the early 21st Century. (Unless its like in Rollerball, when James Caan tries to get access to certain old books in the future and is told he can't have access to those books).

I think someone obsereved recently that nearly 80+% of all books published since 1890's are now out of print, and most of those will be gone forever in another 100 years. Makes you think.

I think you guys took on a heckuva task and did a great job with it. I just wish it was around 5-6 years ago when I got into this stuff. Of course after I built a couple I broke down an got Toten Kopf's CD Rom. LOL.

Thanks..yeah, we are a little past the power curve on the kit building frenzy, but to be fair it took a few years of hanging out here and reading/listening to the community as people figured out new tricks/ways to do things easier or smarter.
People like Pookie, 555th, Hotbbl, 7.62x39, Grasshopper, Slamfire, Vz58, and many many more were here and open to help/share their knowledge. And yes, props to TotenKopf for his CD...definitely ahead of his time.
Without Gunco these ebooks would have never happened.
