I am asking a question to those who have any synthetic AK-74 mags. Not bakelites, rather the Bulgarian mags.

Can someone measure the lip that holds the floorplate to the mag? Specifically, the side sections. I have measured 0.110" on bakelites, up to 0.130" on the black bulgy mags, circle-10. On my circle-21, they are about 0.120".

Am am looking to see if any lips are larger than 0.130".

I'll tell you why in a few days :D

Thanks!

Thank You! I think that Bulgy I have is a little on the "large" size. I'm trying to calculate the best thickness to aim for with a jig I'm working on to make US-made '74 floorplates.

Got the jig about half-way done, and it looks like I may need another ball-end mill before I can go further. So now it looks like its a few weeks to a month away.
