Are you talking about the ones that TAPCO sells. If so, I've got one at home I can measure for you.
Yeah, that should do. I've got a bunch of steel rod laying around and wanted to make one, but need to double check the measurements. I appreciate it!yosuthnmasa said:Are you talking about the ones that TAPCO sells. If so, I've got one at home I can measure for you.
I have a couple of hungarian center supports, and I'll get one out in a bit and get the measurements for you.Co7t said:Does anyone have a center support they can measure and provide the specs on (length, ID, OD, Wall thickness, etc).

How can there be such a difference in OAL? Lets say you use Tapco rails with both of these center supports. One is goint to be off by .015''? Is this an acceptable tolerance?Co7t said:This is exactly what I needed! Thanks everyone!

Yes, 7.62x39 has rifle drilled some rod and tapped it for screws. I would imagine a person could use 1/4 or .25 rod from Home Depot and do the same. This is exactly what I plan on doing.Libertarian said:Speaking of center support sleeves; has anyone tapped one of these for a total screw built AK? I have one from Tapco and I plan on building my AMD 65 totally with screws.
