CETME pistol finished

This build has been a royal pain in the ass. Am I glad it is finished.
ORF G3 flat, bent at a weaponeer party ages ago. Cetme KIT, with a US barrel. Call this my tribute to the Fallout game universe.

I did not want to pay for compliance parts. This kit was bought back when they were cheap. The cocking tube was shortened by cutting all the space in front of the cocking slot (This normally holds the cleaning kit). The barrel was chopped to length, and the hand guards were shortened.

Now I don't know if it was me or ORF, but after the initial completion of the project, the mag catch sat way too high. So I thought no problem, I will weld up the holes with my new HF tig and be done. Well I forgot to turn on the Argon for the weld.... Fail. Cleaned up the mess with a grinder, rewelded everything the proper way, and milled out new holes.

The finish is tactical Brown and tactical green Duracoat. I know that the pistol shoots, and sometime cycles. I think the cycling issues is because of residual aluminu oxide in the recoil spring, my buddy had the same issue on his G3 build. I will test it again in the next couple of weeks. I need to make a rubber buffer for the recoil plate.

this has to be one of the most badass builds I have seen since joining this forum. You are a god amongst men.
That's a pretty sweet pistol build. Maybe I'm sheltered but I haven't seen a CETME/G-3/HK91 type pistol before. Then again, I'm an AK guy. Looks great.
Hello voland,
The wood handguard gives that most serious look over-all !!!! A night time picture with lots of flame would be very cool.

Conrats on a neet project.

Yeah that sure looks like a flame throwing piece there :D
