4Th, I have 8rnd 1911 mags made by Kimber, Shooting Star, and Chip McCormick. They look like they are made on the same machinery by the same company. I've been happy with mine and have had no problems with them in 10 years or so.
Chip McCormick mags are in.

Anyways. Down the bottom I have a thread on .45 mags.
I had 4 mags for my .45. Two were colt "fakes" and two were mags I could not identify.
The two Colt fakes went in the trash. Total blowouts. Dog dooo dooo.
The two good mags over God knows how many years old are still working just perfect.
So I look at the old mags with no markings. Then check the new mags. I guess??? Chip McCormick used a star for their company markings on their original mags.
So the two old mags still working just perfect I guess??? are old Chipper mags they have the shooting star on top.
These new mags hold 8 rounds of Zombie medicine.

moleman. I think you are correct. The old mags have the shooting star imprinted on them but does not say Chip McCormick.
The new Chip mags have the shooting star and Chip McCormick stamped on the side.
The Chip mags came with a note that said if you copy his patent he will personally come too your house and beat the dog piss out of you. So God only knows.
