Ak Chamber Cleaning:
Here are pictures of the chamber brush. I don't remember where I bought mine (maybe at at gunshow). If you cut down the forward portion of the plastic, you could insert the brush deeper into the chamber or by cutting you could use the .308 brush (M14). I haven't cut mine down so I use the 30-06 (M1 Garand) brush which is a little longer. The only problem (not that big a deal) is removing the brush. It takes some pulling, maybe by using a fork type device and pulling rearward (while racheting) at the back of the brush would make removal easier. As you can see, I haven't had that much trouble removing the brush or I would have gone ahead and made something to aid in removal. Oh, I push a rag into the magwell to catch any solvent from the brush.

You should be able to get either brush at any place that handles M1 Garand or M14 stuff. I know Dewey cleaning rods carries them but don't know if they thread the hole (it just might be straight hole to put your rod through)

The rod is from an old M1 Garand cleaning kit but any 8-32 threaded rod will work, it screws into the rachet portion of the brush.
