I recently saw an article about cutting down the polymer '74 mags and modifying them to hold only 15 (or ever how many you want) rounds. I cant find the article now. It was a well done article and I think it was in a PDF format. Does anyone remember where it was or have a link to it? Thanks guys, Simp

Well, if you happen to live in a state that specifically prohibits 30 round mags then having a 15 round (for me) mag is not only legal, but it doesn't create quite the buzz at the local range as opposed to a blocked 30 round mag. Simp

why would someone want to do that?
well if you ever bench shoot, you'll know that a shorter mag is more preferable then a 30 round mag.........I cut down some of my 74 mags for that purpose, and use 20 round 7.62 in my AKM clone.........I also use 20 round M16 mags in my AR.

I hardly use any of my 30 round mags
