I'm just about ready to drill all my holes since my template is attached to my ACE blank. Do you guys wait to drill the center support and hammer axis pin holes until the rails are in place and you can drill through the receiver and lower rails all at once, or can you go ahead and drill all the holes on the receiver, place the rails in the correct place, and then drill through your existing holes in the receiver as a template and go through the rails? What's the best way to do it?

You know that's a very good question. Unfortunately the only experience I've had is with the rails that are previously drilled. Also, the center support was drilled too. So I wasn't really worried about what to do first.

I'm just getting ready for my first rivet build and the rails I want to use don't have holes. But thinking about it, at least with the rails that I want to use, I would drill the center support/hammer holes first to make sure that the RH lower rail (which has a raised area that the hammer pin goes through) is drilled on center to the raised area. It might be hard to locate to try and drill at once.

Maybe some "RIVET" builders can lend a hand on this one.
