No Problema

4th i guess i wasnt clear on my post i was telling him just general conversations to get his post count up. and that you were an interesting person to converse with. i would not pull you in the middle of this.of course i stand behind what i say. its bad when a man feels he has been screwed lord knows i have had my share. thats why i became a hands on guy. i figure why pay somebody to screw your stuff up when you can do it yourself for free.
that way the only person i have to deal with is my wife and i can always hide in the garage from her until supper time
Not too worry. I know brother.
The only one I fight with on the computer is Sniper69. :kick:That is because he stays at my house and he is smaller than me. Plus he is in Germany and cant get at me.

Hector, I respect your right to defend against malicious detractors, but something further needs to done to fix what can only be called systemic problems with the staff you inherited.

I have had good dealings with the two of your staff I have spoken directly with in the five months your company has been assembling and then fixing the kit I sent in February. I have been frustrated with the wait, but have never taken this out on your staff.

My current frustration is that I never get my emails or calls returned. I certainly don't think one call every couple of weeks from me could be considered pestering, but even so, I would think that a return call or email is not an unreasonable expectation.

Perhaps you need to spend some more time down in Houston or move your operation closer to home in Montana. Either way, I think you will get a better idea of how to fix the problems that are likely having a significant (and negative) impact on your business.

When you spend a lot of time out of the country, trying to call/email is a real pain.
The turnaround time was no problem on our builds, I am a patient person, but the end result was very upsetting for me. I tend to agree with the statement above about employees.
It is not my business, but if it were I would see to it that my employees were as interested in the success of the shop as I the owner am. And that means customer service and a product you can be proud of. Right now I see ERT&D sorely lacking in those areas.

HERES ANOTHER ONE FOR YOU.
I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH A GUN THAT WAS BUILT BY YOU FOR OVER 2 MONTHS. IT HAS BEEN RETURNED 3 TIMES. EACH TIME I WAS TOLD IT WAS REDONE AND LOOKED BETTER. WELL, ITS BEEN SENT BACK THE 3RD TIME AND NOW I KEEP GETTING TOLD IT WAS REFINNISHED AND WOULD BE SENT BACK WITH A REFUND LAST WEN OR THURS, THEN IT WENT TO TODAY. GUESS WHAT. I CALLED CODY 2 TIMES WITH NO ANSWER. HE TOLD ME YOU WANTED TO GIVE ME A FULL REFUND AND IT WOULD GO OUT NEXT DAY AIR TODAY, SO WHERE THE HELL IS IT.
I am not very happy with what has been said about me and my company. I have been very honest with every one who I/we deal with.

We charged accordingly for assembling and finishing a virgin kit.

There was damage to the carrier and the cover, not the bolt that I saw when it came back and I was very pissed off!!! We paid for shipping both ways, replaced everything that was asked to be replaced and more. There wasn't a problem with the head space, I checked it and test fired it before any work was redone.

jmon1490, I can understand being upset I was under the impression that you were happy with your pistol but if there is an ongoing problem it needs to be addressed in order for it to be resolved. I stand behind every job that goes out the door regardless of the circumstance! I would even replace the pistol if that was what would reconcile the problem because that's who I am, I stand behind all work performed.

Hightower, you know me. The reason why you went to Andre is because he was less expensive. I can't blame you for that.

I would never allow anyone to go away unhappy as I was with Gucci-cono to the tune of $6K. I had over $15K there before I retrieved most of my things back that were mostly unsalvagable. I KNOW HOW IT IS TO GET TAKEN!!!

I also lost a complete Romanian 7.62x39 PSL barreled action and parts to Mike Prewitt at MSC before Gucci-cono. This is why I have a full lifetime warranty that follows the rifle, if you are not happy for what ever reason it will be resolved.

Jimmy Streetman and Ron Yates DO NOT WORK FOR ELK RIVER TOOL AND DIE THEY NEVER HAVE OR WILL!!!!

When I purchased the assets of Armory USA not Global Trades, I kept the employees that were here. I was very shocked with the quality of work they were putting out and had to have a complete review of the assembly process even to the point of classes. I ended up firing some and some quit because they didn't want to change from the old Armory ways. I even repaired rifles for free that I never even had a thing to do with because this is who I am and what I stand for....does anyone else?

It has been a "hard row to hoe" since I left Montana (please forgive me God) to come here, everything from stamping presses, cnc machines, spot welders, bad heat treating, employees, wife, exwife etc., etc. yet I have never fogotten why I do this. It isn't for the money, I make half of what I made in Montana doing the same thing. It's for the love of the rifle and the desire to see as many people have a quality receiver and rifle that they can depend on, as possible.

Every week I deal with my wife, ex-wife, 4 living children 3 who live in Canada, my son who died 3 years ago and only lived for 1 and a half hours, 13 employees, the 6 lines of phone ringing, questions are answered no matter how stupid they may seem, walk in custumers are taken care of, atleast 30-40 rifles are returned to their owners, receivers are finished and sold, 200 rifles are refinished for distributers, this is every week.

If anyone has a problem with a rifle that has been assembled here they need to let us know so it can be taken care of, again this is how I do business.

I've run off 3 other genius gunsmiths. In January I hired Cody Baker-15 year AK gunsmith, Santiago Perez-13 year AK gunsmith and Jack Ryan- 6 years AK gunsmith from RPG who all used to work for Arsenal USA. Along with Keith we have the most knowledge and qualifications than any other shop, period!

I challenge anyone who wants to stand in my shoes and tell me how it's done to come try! Then you can tell me how bad a shop I run and for all the very many other great customers, THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUAL BUSINESS!!!

Sorry to hear that guys. I never had a rifle built by them, but I did get a receiver and it was spot on perfect.
Better get that welded on fast, the feds dont care whose fault it is, only who has it in their hands. I met a BATF agent at a gunshow and he recomended not welding it only to the front sight post as that can be removed. Some agents can be real pricks and get their rocks off on busting people(his words not mine), make sure its welded fast to the barrel. You can pull the front sight post pins and unscrew the brake if its only welded to the sight post. I know I did it as a test. Not easy but can be done. I had thought it was a way around the rule. Not worth it!

I have emailed and called, no reply and no answer. And they still have one rifle to deliver and three to fix. Guess I will have to take time to go by there next time I fly into Hobby.

No use going by the Hobby Airport address. No one there anymore. ERT&D just moved off 290........somewhere off 290 but not sure exactly where.
And they don't even call to tell the customer they have moved. A hell of a way to run a shop:censored:

Finally after trying to get through on the phone for who know how long we actually were able to leave a voice mail. Their message stated that they were having trouble with their email and asked all email to go to [email protected].
After leaving a message on the voice mail I received an email:

I need to give you the new address

5400 Mitchelldale B5
Houston TX 77092

I will reopen the office 8/20/09. (Phones are not up yet so I am doing
inventory)
I am not sure when the shop will reopen, but If I have a days notice I
can be sure someone is here to look at the problem.

weld too much and you'll bung the barrel. ( chrome peeling off etc.)

All Wasr's imported into the USA with BATF approval have a a small tack weld to the FSB.

Let's not let one mis-informed / overzelous agent ruin your gun...we have precedent...

thread Hijack now over...

Bought two (5.45 & 7.62) a couple of weeks back and Stephanie said I was the 1st walkin retail customer. Saw and spoke to her at the local shows and waited for them to get moved in. I'm in NW Houston so the new location is close. From what I saw looked like plenty of receivers. Should be back to normal soon. willie

Assembly Deal

Elk River and myself have taken some serious flak :slap: over a few projects because of some gun smiths and others who I depended on. I would like to show that this has been corrected. I have made some changes and removed some indiviuals from working here.

Having done so I would like to offer a complete assembly, parkerize and return shipping for $200 to the first 10 customers who email me (I may extend it) this will also cover those whose project that are here already. You will need to supply ALL parts including receiver.

As always Elk River carries a lifetime warranty with all work done even if the rifle has changed hands as long as the serial number shows we did the work.
